Tell Me About Your Family!

Dan and I were high school sweethearts, we dated for 4 years and married in 1979. We have two adult children, our son Daniel who lives in Indiana, and our daughter Beth, her husband Chuck, and our granddaughter Brynnlee live with us. We have been full-time missionaries with CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ) for the past 29.5 years.

Where Are You From? 

Both Dan and I were born and raised in inner-city Philadelphia. I was raised by a single mom (raised 5 of us on her own!) who came to Christ 6 months before she passed away. We moved to Indiana for ministry and lived there for 20 years.

Tell Me About Your Education! 

I graduated from Temple University where I majored in Early Childhood Education/Special Education and minored in Psychology. I also attended Philadelphia Bible College evening school program. I have 35+ years of experience (and training) in Human Resources in both the secular and ministry setting.

What’s Your Favorite Pastime? 

I love spending time with my family, having coffee with friends, playing cards, mentoring/discipling women, photography, and listening to my husband play bass:-)

What's Your Life Verse?

Hands down, my favorite verse is John 3:16. I heard that as a small child and when I was 20 and attempting to end my life, John 3:16 flooded my mind with my name in it..."For God so love Carole..." It took me to my knees and my life has never been the same!

What’s Your Favorite Book in the Bible? 

My favorite book in the bible is James. It clearly shows that we will all endure hardships and that those hardships are used to refine & strengthen us. I am challenged by the book to fight on in the face of adversity, to be a do-er of the Word and not just a listener or reader, but to live it out the best I possibly can moment by moment...by the power of the Holy Spirit.
