FAQ’s

how long is the performance?

The performance is 5 minutes long and occurs right at the beginning of each Christmas Eve Service.

WHAT IS IN THE PERFORMANCE?

The performance is a medley of 4 scripture readings and 3 traditional Christmas songs. The scripture readings are performed by individual kids, but the songs are performed as a whole ensemble. Each song will have easy choreography that the children will do while they sing.

WHAT IS THE PARENT INVOLVEMENT?

We require parents to attend all auditions, rehearsals, and performances with your child.

WHAT WILL PERFORMANCE DAY LOOK LIKE?

There are 3 Christmas Eve Services on December 24th: 2:00pm, 3:30pm, and 5:00pm

The children’s performances will be: 2:00pm-2:05pm, 3:30pm-3:35pm, and 5:00pm-5:05pm.

We encourage families to attend one of the services in it’s entirety as a family, but do not require families to sit through all three services. You can feel free to use the breaks between the performances in any way your family chooses. The cafe and patio will be open for your use, or you can take your family off-campus during those times. We just ask that you return in time for your child to be on stage at least 5 minutes prior to the performance time.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO PRACTICE AT HOME?

We ask that kids have the entirety of the performance memorized prior to rehearsal day, including the lyrics, hand motions, and scripture reading (if they have a scripture reading solo).

WHAT DOES MY CHILD NEED TO WEAR ON PERFORMANCE DAY?

The dress code for our Kids Choir is any appropriate clothing in this color scheme: red, green, white, gray, or black.
